So in all seriousness, I haven't updated in so long.  For those who don't follow me on facebook.  Katsucon in Febuary happened.  I won't write a recap of it because it'll take too long and I'm lazy but it was a gorgeous venue and for that I enjoyed it.  The other aspects weren't fantastic (but not bad or anything), its just wasn't amazing for me, but maybe my expectations were too high.

Got tagged by a kawaii otouto over in Vancouver~

But...I don't like rules, so I'm gonna be a rebel and not follow them.

1.  I'm not much of a talker, especially around people I don't know or aren't familiar with.  For this reason, I suck at making small talk or initiating conversations.  Most often, if I'm with someone I don't know very well, I'll just sit there awkwardly and not say anything... Does not mean I'm shy/introverted, I'm just terrible at coming up with topics to talk about ;___;

2. Yet I talk to myself sometimes, when I'm alone...without realizing it >___>

3. I eat pretty much anything and everything.  Not picky with food at all, the only thing I can't handle is spicy things D:  It buurrrnnns.

4. I love my waistline, I hate my thighs (and my eyebags)

5. I feel self-conscious about my age when I look at all the young'ins at conventions.  I'D LIKE TO BE FOREVER YOUNG PLZ.

6. When I feel I'm too old to cosplay, I think I'll take up photography. hurrhurr.

2012 was a big year for me cosplay-wise, I got more involved with the hobby, made more difficult costumes, had more photoshoots and participated in masquerades.

I started competing in masquerades just this past year and won a total of 5 awards:

Anime North - Sakura
     2 Awards: Best Journeyman (Presentation) & Most Accurate Journeyman
Con-Bravo - Magna Carta girl (with ~KakeranoTsuki)
     Award: Best in Show    
Otakuthon - Chise
     2 Awards: Best Ultimate Weapon & Most Dramatic Presentation in Artisan class

This advances me to Masters class for my next masquerade!

Videos

2012 marked the start of participating in something I've never done before; cosplay videos.  Its a lot harder than doing photoshoots because it involves acting and memorizing choreography, but its definitely been a great experience for me. I've participated in 4 videos this year:

2012 also marked the debut of my cosplay group, Cosmeko [link]
So far, we've come out with a decent amount of videos, but we are still trying to get used to vlogging and making video tutorials.  There is more in store for the upcoming year!

Summary of 2012

I'm quite satisfied with my accomplishments this year!
